Extreme SW Minnesota Iowa border
The only solution to the problem is knowledge. When I started hauling tractors out of Waterloo, I was pretty green, ( no pun intended). I just did what I thought was right. it took a few stops by the IDOT, to educate me. After a few years of doing that , I took classes and studied, and really got good at chaining and rigging. The VERY LAST time I got stopped, the newbie that pulled me over tried to write me up for several things. He even had several things down in his ticket book. Back then, they had an illistrations book, that was kind of written like a comic book, with drawings and notes in it. I had studied the book so well I told him which page to open up, and where to find all the things that he had wrote me up for. He ended up tearing up the tickets, and telling me to have a nice day. I was never stopped again.
