NW Iowa | I have purchased a Phantom 3 Standard and the range is smaller. DJI says that it will only reach a little over half a mile where the adv/pro will reach about a mile (I have not pushed it to the limits as I don't want to find out what might happen if I do). One thing I would suggest to consider is if you ever want to produce NDVI images in the future possibly look into spending the extra to purchase the adv/pro. I purchased the Standard without doing sufficient research on it and was hoping to use DroneDeploy in order to produce the images however the standard does not work with them as of now. But all in all I will say I am more then satisfied with the quality of images and videos that the Standard can take. Plus I have also had to send mine in for repairs and was more then impressed with DJI's service and the speed they did it with. | |
