Subject: RE: Horrible Fire Today

That sucks. They had some unique equipment there and I always enjoyed driving by their farm. I feel bad for them.

I got very lucky this year. I had 100 bushels of corn in my friends warehouse and a fan somehow fell into a bin with 5 bushels of corn in it (the bin holds 30). Well that bin started on fire and took out two full bins. If it wasn't for the fact this warehouse was 100 yards from the fire department this would have been a major fire. But luckily the fire department was returning from a call and as they were pulling into their driveway (which is right next to the warehouse driveway) they saw the flames thru the overhead door window. There is around 100 tons of fertilizer stored in this warehouse as well as a lot of equipment. I still have no idea how that little fan managed to fall in the bin and how it even started on fire but it happened and I got lucky. I had to repair the overhead door as that was damaged from the firedepartment breaking in but there was already glass there to repair the windows and my friends at the machine shop repaired the guide for the opener.
