If i was in your shoes I'd look for a 900. Lots of aftermarket parts. I really lucked out I found one on a retirement auction for 3100 it had new knives and was "gone thru" by the local dealership. Paid 1600 for the 824 corn head, came with the hay head. It sucks your coming in season here, so everyone and their brother is looking along with you.
