Hard Times, Ontario
I feed lots of it. Excellent feed. Limited shelf life in summer. No more than 10days before it goes pretty funky. 28% protein. Similar energy to corn silage. We include it in every ration here. Breeding cattle, backgrounders and the finishing cattle. No storage issues in the cold weather. We buy it by the truck load and they dump it on a concrete pad and we add what we want into a TMR mixer with the loader. High in moisture. Probably 75%+.
