If industrial hemp is such a wonderful crop then why did a lot of growers in Canada stop growing it as its legal to grow it there. If the economics were there then it would be expanding acreage, but its not apparently.


Hawaii 3 days ago approved an industrial hemp pilot program. Kentucky and Massachusetts are currently exploring it. Much like ethanol, an entire industry would have to be established to encourage production and turn it into sale-able products.

What other alternative crops are there? I am just using Hemp as an example.
