Yes, you need another box. I'd have to go look, but I'm pretty sure it's a box with one single pole double throw switch in it. Get's the power from the warning lights connector, ie you need a 12V aux power into your light receptacle on tractor, then the power feeds back thru the harnesses, into the switch box and then back to the clutches for control. Energize to disconnect. IIRC.

So,,,, If you think about it, if you replace the SPDT switch with two SPST switches, and wire it correctly, then you can shut off both sides, or all rows of the planter, instead of L vs R type control. This would give you better control on the ends, crossing waterways, etc. IMHO, this should have been the way JD did it from the begining, but they didn't. Maybe the clutches pull two much amps, so only one should be on simultaneously, I don't know.
