Our shop rate is $50 per hour. It is hard for me to keep track of the hours when I have to answer the phone, ship parts, and wait on customers. I want to be fair.
Shopman , not sure what labor bill should be , we do our own boots,blades and I would pay a good premium for a good planter service, I like your idea of a flat fee, I am not sure its practical but the guy that services truck is father and sometimes son , father has to answer phone ,make out bills,order parts, ect. I always thought he could make a lot more money having a minimun wage assistant , but I think he enjoys the breaks and like you is really fair in his hrs. worked.....most small shops around here are $50-60 hr. |
