Ontario
i can't directly compare a 2wd and 4wd magnum but my 7240 is 4wd and compared to some other 2wd tractors such as my 1086 i find the 7240 rides far better on the road. seems like there's less front end bounce and easier to steer. of course that's comparing 2 completely different tractors but it seems that extra rubber on the front helps things. also having the extra rubber seems to be a huge difference in the field. the front doesn't sink in as much and turning on the headland is far better, hardly ever use the brakes to help steer

not a lot of differences between the 72 and 89 models but i have been told late 72s are nearly identical to early 89s. i believe the 89s can turn a bit shorter due to the weight bracket being different so that could make the 89s more appealing for planting. i believe you could also just add the 89 bracket to a 72 so that's always an option too and considering the much higher price 89s tend to go for it could be a better option
