Freedom, WI | I too would say go for it. It sounds like it is a great opportunity for you. I would go and talk to the people to talk about some of your concerns and get as much information as you can. Also talk to the banker and lawyer. If they die, and some relative comes in who wants a part of the farm or some profit while you are in the middle of buying it you want to make sure you are covered legally and don't get caught up in the middle of it all. If it is already organic certified it is a bit easier, as long as everything was managed properly and kept up over time. | |
