| I've got a friend of mine that uses his to just calve his cows out in, then turns them out on grass in the spring .I've got around 100 thousand in the barn, 90 x 170, I can hold around a 100 pretty comfortable. I'm going to add a 50 ft she'd on the open side next year that should hold around 60 cows by itself. I ran the numbers and I feel like this is the cheapest and easiest way to expand. I walk through the cows every day, if they need some care they get it now instead of when I get them up, all the cattle here can be in a working shute in 5 minutes, my pasture cows don't get that kind of attention. | |
