stick - 3/19/2016 22:00 We bought a cih Farmall 140A this week and was checking it out and found this thing it on the exhaust side of the turbo and has a rubber hose that goes to the coollat reservoir and 2 steel lines that goes in head it looks like. It's a simple exhaust flap to load the engine to quickly increase and maintain exhaust temperature to heat the Diesel Oxidation Chamber to operating temperature. Here's a scan from a training manual that describes and illustrates it's function.
