Subject: RE: planting sunflowers with deere 7000

Southeast Colorado
We had a set switched over to the short fingers designed just for sunflowers. It sort of works with the small seed but I still thought the big sunflower seed with regular corn fingers worked better as far as planting uniformly. The problem with that plan was that it cost a lot more per acre to plant the big seed. I may still have my short finger pickup meters around but I can't remember. I'll check tomorrow. I used to have two planters but sold one a few years ago. Can't remember which set of meters left with that planter.
