To be honest with you I am not really sure. They share the same stroke just a smaller bore on the 303. I think maybe the same engine family the 303/329/359 in 6 cylinders , there were 3 and 4 cylinders models as well. Guessing they replaced the 303 with the 329. The 55 and 95 are the only machines I have seen with a 303. JD used a 303 gas version in the 4030 along with the 329 diesel. Maybe someone else will shed more light on them.
I switched a 202 diesel (the 6 cyl. 303's 4 cyl.little brother)to a 219. (which is the 6 cyl. 329's 4 cyl.little brother) Fairly simple swap. Throttle linkage needed reworked, but that was about it. So, from that limited experience, I believe it should work. |
