Driftless SW Wisconsin

ntexcotton - 3/19/2016 17:55 We cut everything when they average in the 2s. Calves get first round then and their boosters and more a month before they ship. Cows get hit with something everytime the calves are worked. Cows are good to carry on to the calf.

About the same here. I like the calves to be 200-250 lb when vet and I work the whole group, usually in late June. A few late calves are just under 200 lb.

They get boosters at fall work up in Dec.  Cows get boosters twice a year, when we work the calves.

My vet says the same thing: good cow immunity passes on to the young calf, so important to keep cow boostered.
