You can go with less slope like a 3-12 and have 10 wall at 24' off of a 12'wall that's what mine is. I have 4 pens in a 20' x 42' 2 pens are 14' x 20' and 2 pens are 10' x 14' I like the 14' x 20' best but for over run if I need to I go in to the 10' x 14' I like having them in a row that way drive the skid steer down along in front of them for cleaning out. Once done calving and summer hay baling time I take pens down and store 4' x 6' round bales in there. Then feed them first come fall and set pens back up.
