Northwest Iowa | I know the 'help' situation is tough for a farm your size. And milking cows has always taken a toll on a body. At these prices it is hard to not be discouraged. You made it through 2009 prices but you also have to know for yourself when enough is enough. Just remember, when the cows leave and the barn is dark, the big bills stop also. Your electric bill will go down, no feed bills from the coop, and no vet bills or labor bills to pay. I am getting closer to that place in my life also so I understand what is going through your mind. Best wishes to you in what ever you choose. | |
