I had a short ear just like that year before last. Decided to feed him out since he was so ugly I figured they'd steal him at the sale barn. He never would "finish" like other calves I've fed, but when he hung up he cut out very high. One of the better freezer calves I've fed for the family. His tail was short too, I'm pretty sure he got froze when he was born.
