not that many years ago (70's). When the rendering truck started chargeing for picking up dead stock. Quite a few were drug to the old sow lot and opened up. Never let breeding pigs get the taste of blood, they would then eat thier own pigs.
Used to fatten old sows behind the steers also. You could watch them old sows following cattle, just waiting for a snack :)
