Hard Times, Ontario | A lot of the Maine cows that I've seen can have poor udder structure. (big, ugly teats, rear quarters that hang down). I never kept any F1's, but years ago (when I was thin and had hair) owned a couple purebred cows. Wasn't impressed with the udders on them. They had enough milk. With all that being said, I have seen Maine cows with good udders. Used to be fairly common up here. | |
