The calf was butt first with tail part way out and feet folded down underneath it.


What your describing is a breach, the first thing to do is stick your finger in the calves arse, if he clamps down he is still alive so you can give the cow a little lidocaine push the calf back in get his feet straitened out and pull him. If he doesn't clamp down he's dead so the fastest way to get him out is in pieces.
