western iowa,by Denison | Went back to a post and cr39 said the short ears are just as good-today we implanted a group and kept track of weight's from when I bought this group-with it's own pen mates as 8 of them came from one farm-the short ear one compared to the other mates is 10% less gain then the other 7-I don't think the calves should be discounted as much-but now I'm starting to wonder-it will be 100# lighter at finish-but maybe not
