I've seen good used truck scales sell for 8-10k at richie auctions before. That was the platfrom and little scale house and everything.
I'd wonder though - if they would have to be calibrated regularly by an outside source? If there was ever a disagreement 'well I weighed them on my scale' doesn't hold a lot of water for the other party.
I thought packers were discounting 1650lb cattle?
