There is a bridge out between my place and the local grain elevator, which makes the route about 25+ miles away to go to the nearest scales. The next option to weigh would be split weighing, which is worthless imo, or weighing about 1hr down the road... Which also doesn't seem very valuable info.

I've been thinking about getting truck scales at home for grain and cattle but haven't pulled the trigger. They claim this bridge is out due to mine subsidence and I guess it's tied up in determining liability... So it's restricted to 8ton. It's really messing a lot of trade up around here.

The live weight on the cattle was within 10lb of the load right before. It sure seems hard to believe, but wth I'll take it
