SWIN | I took off cap under hood that leads to EVAP system. Can also take off bigger black fitting while fuelling then replace after you are done. Did a Web search to learn this is a common problem with that model truck. The charcoal canister is the problem. It is around $500. to fix.
Picture shows location of threaded plug and valve where you un do fitting while fueling. This is on 2007 F-250 with 5.4L engine. Valve is above yellow dipstick in picture, can see exposed threads.
