southern MN | To be honest, I think a lot of learning and taking cool pictures is going on.
The real useful software and affordable cameras are perhaps 2, maybe 3 generations away.
By then I suspect the software licence will be the driving factor, and the drone operations will be done by an agronomist or coop division or seed/chemical company that flies the whole county every week and sells the data to those who's subscribe.
A few mavericks will run their own deal on their own farm, but the heavy data will come from the big franchises.
My personal view of the future.
