The bottoms are plastic and mostly stainless.

For some stupid reason there are a few pieces that they made of mild steel that are rather important to the usability of the feeder. 

Those mild steel pieces are located inside the feed trough and basically support the entire weight of the feed that is in the feed tank above. They won't last forever.




It's almost comical how a company will make something that is nearly indestructible and cheap out on a couple pieces of mild steel that eventually render it useless.    We've had several other feeders from other companies that fit this description as well.
