| Our 4020, an early diesel synchro-range, got totalled 3 years ago in an auto accident. It was in excellent original condition, running & working. Country said 8K, I negotiated them up to 10, It was probably worth 9 at that time, just needed paint & tires to be a show tractor. Not sure where the market has gone since, but I don't think antiques are sliding as much as 'big' tractors. So say 10 is your value restored, figure what you'd have to put in it.
I was surprised to learn how much of a premium there was on later tractors with console hydros and powershift trans. | |
