| Ya last year got ripped a new one on this subject- I have no problem with it- my point is MOST ON HERE DO - you better cull her, I cull opens- LET THE COW WORK FOR YOU. Point of my story was - I figured she killed that calf, how long she was out there I didn't know if she was watering or not. She's a 900lb cow and weaned a 550 calf (was a heifer)- I DO believe calving in pens changes them... Like I said I'll let my cows work for me - when calves are 500$ and your whining about it's not worth it - I'll still be doing ok.
The yellow tint on a calf means it pooped inside (waited to long to try pulling) usually a good sign they aren't gonna make it - we tried wire in the nose and rubbing it all over vigorsly, no luck- vet said get that calf by the back legs and fling it around... Ya it came to | |
