Matt,

To carry your point further, care to operate that Tesla during, say, a Minnesota winter?

At least a part of the waste heat of my IC engine-powered vehicle can be used for cabin heat. The Tesla has to pull cabin heat out of the batteries. Heated seats and steering wheel can somewhat trick the occupants, but the heat still came from batteries.

So...electric cars make more sense in Florida than Saskatchewan.
