western iowa,by Denison | I'm glad the universities don't farm in the real world-being a 1979 past Isu farm op class member-them professors had all the answer's -spent the next 15 years of the 80's going to farm sale after farm sale-remember splitting with a neighbor to cover 2 sales most days-The feeder calf is priced off fat cattle price-there is nothing a calf feeder or cow man can do to change that,no different then corn , beans, or wheat eventually price land rent.
