Subject: baling rye grass cover crop for dry hay before corn

West Central Indiana
Thinking rye grass will be about 6" + or so tall at corn planting time, it was seeded last fall after soybean harvest. Current height is maybe 2" (winter wheat height). Is it worthwhile to bale it for dry hay for beef cattle cow calf? is bloat a concern when feeding next winter? Nitrates?
