Subject: Square Tubing Question..

South Georgia
Question for guys who do more metal working that I… I need to modify the homemade herbicide tip brackets on the back of my planter row units so that they can be removed from the hopper. I intend to use square tubing to make a socket style connection point. I envision a setup much like the receiver hitch on a truck, where one piece of tubing slides into another and is secured with a pin. I know square tubing comes in different sizes and wall thicknesses, but I am not familiar with what is commonly available. Can someone recommend a size/wall thickness specification combination that would work well for the bracket and socket? I would like for it to be a somewhat tight fit, at least not loose. TIA
