I used to have an 8 row 7000 with a splitter. If you drop the planter and splitter at the same time you will over plant the end rows and will leave a gap [splitter rows] when you pick up. I would drop the planter, go, then drop the splitter. Do the opposite on the other end of the field. Hope this makes sense.
