NE, NE | Wanted to try and figure out what the cost comparison would be if I ground my own creep vs buy commercial creep like years past. I have the analysis from one of the commercial creeps I bought last year:
CP-16%, CFat-1%, crude fiber- 25%, vitamin A-10,000 IU/lb, then there's some Ca, P, K, and salt as limiter.
My feeds available to put through the grinder mixer are: 4th cutting alfalfa, oats, straw, corn, possibly dried molasses, then vitamins as needed. I will not put 100% oats in feeder since we have trouble with bloat with field oats. Thanks for any input | |
