KS | True in some but not all cases, remember he is a pumper and has a vested interest in keeping them running. Each area has different zones that respond differently to being shut in. At least in Kansas you do not have to t/a them. About half the wells I invested in in the last 2 years are shut in. Mostly Lansing production in Russell and Barton county. Also know one operator in king an county with a bunch of shut in viola and Mississippi wells. Operator in rice county with arbuclke wells is shutting them in as well.
Long term shut in they do have to be t/a'd, but not an issue if you sell a little oil once a year. If you have a full tank when shut in you sit on it sell it in a year then you are looking at two years before having to run it again | |
