East-Central Ontario		I have a similar problem at the back of the planter, my solution is going to be this https://www.acklandsgrainger.com/en/product/TERMINAL-STRIP-16-POLE-2... in a weatherproof junction box, might work for you then you can mount it so it won't pinch again

Heat shrinks and solder would work if you wanted something even cheaper but a little rougher
