Had a 3126 in a 2002 GMC single axle boom/crane truck at my last job. Weighed about 35k and was the a gutless pig. Sometimes we would pull a skid steer with it. Would barely hold 55 on a flat.
Asked a guy that was very knowledgeable on Cats, and he suggested away from doing anything to "turn it up" He claimed that longevity would become an issue.
Advise for getting more power out of a 3126/ C7 Cat engine
