I was trying to remember how my beans did in comparison to corn in 2012. Below is a quick chart showing the national yields of corn & beans using 2004 as a base year. Corn yield was off almost 25% compared with a 5% reduction in bean yields in 2012. I think I'll let you fellows put down all that expensive nitrogen fertilizer and plant corn while I'll just plant beans and take my chances with the low cost crop this year. I guess that's what crop insurance is for, huh.
