Subject: Re: John Deere RTK Repeaters

Leesburg, Ohio
We just use one to get from our place near Highland, over the ridge to a farm west of New Vienna. About 9 miles from base to the west farm. Works fine, although we had some trouble getting the repeater to work in the beginning...I think we didn't allow the repeater enough time in the setup/configure routine the first time we tried. After we called Alan at Five Points (local dealer) to come out and get it properly configured for us, all we have to do is plug it in to the cig lighter in the pickup, stick it on the roof, and go.

I'm pretty sure the dealer and Stellar both told us we could set up the units in our tractors as both repeaters and receivers. That seems to say that multiple repeaters are possible.

I don't think it is possible to "daisy-chain" them, (use a series of repeaters strung out a few miles apart) to get out way beyond the 12 mile recommended range from the base.
