central pa | Started to AI two years ago. 50 commercial cows and finishing everything on the farm. Running close to $90 a head per cow inseminated. Our conception rates have been great 69% 2 years ago and 81% this past year. I have the first set of AI sired calves in the lot now. The AI calves are out performing the bull bred calves and my cleanup bull was no slouch. No turning back here. Really excited to breed some of the AI sired heifers this spring. | |
