I agree with what you say. We raise shorthorns so as far as the black goes yep doesn't happen, we picked the breed for more than the show ring also and understood the potential hits we may take on marketing. As far as beef goes we actually butcher a dairy steer each year the beef steers are worth more on the market. What county are you in?
