Subject: Calf Dehorners

NW Ohio
What's everyone's preference on electric calf Dehorners? I use a Rhinehart model. Does a pretty good job. I think a cordless one would be nice though too. I'd also like to see one with an indicator light that shows the there's still power going to it. Nothing worse than getting a cord unplugged or coming lose and working with half heat on a couple calves before you realize it. We generally try to dehorn before weaning or soon after for Holstein calves. If I buy feeders or we get behind burning and the horns are to big we'll scoop them and then burn. Nice to see what works for everybody else.
