Subject: RE: Pasture Aeration

South Texas
Aerway seems like old man therapy to me. If it can go in the ground the ground doesn't need it, and if the ground needs it it won't go in. Keeps the old man busy though, except I had to park the planter to fix the tractor for him yesterday. The hay king coulter/shank style at least stayed in the ground. I use a case 2500 ripper with no till shanks and tucker wheels, or a 3 point root plow. I'd like to find one of Sturm's "bushy grass renovator". It had coulters in front of shanks with a 2' blade or so on the bottom of them. Supposed to pull easier and less disturbance than the solid bladed root plow but not as tough.
