The Green Hills of Missouri | I had the same event back in 2010. We pulled the calf and supplimented him with a bottle because the heifer had such a small bag. Kept them both separate with extra feed. She raised a normal calf that finished with the rest.
The calf would never drink the bottle by himself, but if I got him up by the cow and I stood on the other side with the bottle hanging like a teet he'd grab on and look out! Never have I seen a calf drink a bottle faster.
Cow 710 is still in the herd and has had a set of twins since.
