![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=1853&type=profile&rnd=236) Alberta, Canada | When it comes to Ag, Goodyear is an absolute no. Or any of its affiliates.
Michelin and Pirelli/Trelleborg for tractor tires, after having most all types and brands, won't get anything else in the future. I have had no issues with Alliance implement tires.
Firestone tends to last decently (casing) but wears tread readily. Goodyear on the other hand will never burn tread off because it won't live long enough.
Very happy with Goodyear pickup truck tires, won't buy Michelin or Pirelli there!
Price of tire means very little to me compared to a different brand, I will buy the tire I want, when dividing the price difference by 7k hours my price per hour is... who cares?
One Local dealer gives farmer special pricing on the service call. "Farm call" rather than hourly rate for service truck to drive out. Much cheaper than if I needed a construction or highway tire fixed.
Tire shops need to be more proactive with setting up the right tire for the task, be it size or inflation or balancing or brand, each has a specific benefit. | |
