| If you are going to do aeration the only way to go is doing core aeration I would think. Core aeration will pull plugs which help loosen compacted soil as well as provide a direct path for water and nutrients to get into the root system. A neighbor rented one many years ago, I think it also had a harrow drag on the back of it so you could technically aerate and drag your pasture at the same time if you can find one like that. Anything that just pokes holes without pulling plugs out is probably just going to compact the soil or do some surface damage. | |
