I live on a lot less then that now. We make sure help is paid and taken care of first then pay bills and hope that there's something left for us and right now doesn't leave much. We pay the same if not more than the local manufacturer and still can't get good help. The biggest problem is that we have to split shift don't milk long enough to make a 6 to 8 hr day. I think this is some of what drives dairies to expand to make a full days work. I understand why people won't do that but if I had to chose between that and unemployment I would do the work most won't.
