Subject: RE: Wrangler/Rawhide vs Diamond W portable corrals?

Texas/New Mexico Stateline
I have ZERO experience with the Wrangler system, but LOTS of experience with the Diamond W portable corral (Wilson wheel corral) because they have about 99% of the market share in our area. Dozens and dozens of the Wilson style/Diamond W wheel pens around here. Two guys can set one up in about 5 minutes tops, and you are right the crowding pen feature is something nice they have added in the last 10 years or so. The original Wilson's did not have that feature and need to be added if possible.

If you get a new Diamond W first thing you need to do is get rid of the cheap implement tires. And reinforce the spindles on the front two wheels. They tend to bend the pipe. I've seen several with 1/4 X 4" strap welded to pipes to strengthen it up.
