Chilliwack BC | Ritchie Brothers has a site for specifications of equipment that might help. It doesn't list serial numbers though.

Near the front of a Ritchie sale catalog this summer there was a guide for determining year by serial number. It said that most construction equipment has a standardized 15? digit number and something like the 7th digit from the right tells you the year. I looked at a few pieces of equipment trying to follow this code and couldn't make heads or tails of it though. If I find it I'll scan that page. | |
